Sunday football became an excuse for me to whip up a tasty BM! I also love setting up a BM bar when hosting a brunch. It's a great way for guests to interact and be creative with their drinks!
We like spice in this house, so reduce hot sauce & horseradish to your liking!
What you'll need!
3 oz vodka of your choice
1.5 cups tomato juice
3 tbsp fresh lemon juice
3/4 tsp horseradish
3/4 tsp Worcestershire sauce
Hot Sauce to taste
Salt & Pepper to taste
Garnishes are endless! Here are my go-to's;
Lemon wedges
Celery stalks
Shrimp cocktail
Bacon
Stuffed olives (blue cheese is my favorite!)
RIM Salt Ingredients - optional
1/4 c. Kosher Salt
1 tbsp. Celery Salt
1 tbsp. Cumin
1 tbsp. Granulated Garlic (not Garlic Salt)
1 tbsp. Smoked Paprika
1 tsp. Black Pepper
1/4 tsp. Dry Mustard Powder
1/4 tsp. Dry Powdered Ginger
What you'll do!
Ice Ice Baby
The secret to a tasty and successful BM is - it needs to be COLD. Chill your tomato juice in the fridge ahead of time.
Rim Salt
In a small bowl, whisk together kosher salt, celery salt, cumin, granulated garlic, smoked paprika, black pepper, mustard powder, and powdered ginger. Store in a jar or container with a tight lid.
To rim your glass when making bloody marys, place rim salt on a small plate. Rub the cut edge of a lemon wedge around the rim of a glass to moisten. Dip rim into the salt.
BM Ready!
Place all ingredients into a pitcher and mix to combine OR fill a shaker with ice first add ingredients and shake it up until well mixed.
Stop and taste the mix before serving, adjusting things like heat and horseradish levels as you go. You can always add heat.
If you're going to rim the glass RIM first before adding ice to individual glasses.
Divide evenly between three glasses filled with ice!
Garnishing is the BEST part so have fun with it!
Cheers! Xx
